GATTACA

Gattaca is a sci fi movie about enhancing humans in a futuristic. The main character, Vincent, is different from the rest of the his world. Unlike everyone else he was born "in love" or how we are born today. Everyone else's parents picked how smart they would be, what they would look like etc. Vincent has to hide the way be was unborn and his imprefections by using the identity of Jerome. With Jerome's identity he is able to escape the world that he is unfit for and go to a moon of saturn. In the movie it shows how a child born the natural way could be just as good as the "perfect person" and that will and determination can also effect how "perfect" you are. One thing that i would like to point out thought is that with all the technology that they did have how could they not fix the really Jerome's legs.

Sam Spady

I thought the lecture was really good. Though the mother wasn't the best speaker she definitly got her message across. What I liked best about her lecture was that she wasn't telling us to never drink like most people do. She was more just telling us to be safe and think before we act and most importantly what to do in a situation like Sam's. I also think that it's really good that the parents don't point any fingers at anyone and instead work to help other's through Sam's death, to bring some meaning to it. The one thing that I don't understand though is how everyone just left her in a frat house by herself. I just don't understand how everyone thought that that would be ok. I was really moved by the movie and I really learned a lot from it.

As I posted before, my friend burned what she was cooking making the alarm go off. Well when we got back into the building Becca and I ran to the 2nd floor to retreive Brookes pan. Well as you can see the pan is not in the best shape so ultimately we made in into the amazing shrine.

FIRE ALARM!

Tonight the fire alarm in cone went off for the second time this week. The first time it was the lovely Fredonna who was cooking her pizza according to popular rumour. Tonight the culprit was Becca Horn, another lovely girl that rooms next to me. She was craving the ever delicious cinnamon buns and decided to make a few to cure her craving. Unfortunatly for the residence in cone Becca is not the best cook. Cinnamon buns only need to be cooked for about umm 10 minutes. Becca thought it might be a good idea to put them in there for a few extra, setting the timer for a total of 20 minutes. Well it only took 9 minutes for the smoke so start and the alarm to sound. So thank you Becca for letting us all experience to cold night air of Boone, NC.
